United States Of Happiness
I recently wrote about the cost of the American Dream costing a family of four approximately $130,000 a year. The Huffington Post has created a map using a 2010 Princeton study that shows how much annual salary per household buys happiness in each state in America.
For instance, a family can be happy in Mississippi earning around $66,000 – but it’s nearly twice that much in Hawaii. The American average is $75K, with a majority of states being happy earning less than that. I especially find it interesting that earning more money than that would make families less happy, for a variety of reasons.
Are you happy with what you earn where you live? Would earning more or less make you happier? Let me know what you think!
