Meeting Mark Twain
Look who I met yesterday! This is an awesome Mark Twain impersonator at the Kern County Nut Festival in Bakersfield, California. It brought me back to childhood memories of studying all about Twain, since he’s a fellow native Missourian.
So with that in mind, I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes attributed to the beloved author. He has lots of good ones, but these are some of the best when it comes to really “living” your life and finding fulfillment and happiness:
“Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb – that’s where the fruit is.”
“Only he who has seen better days and lives to see better days again knows their full value.”
“Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.”
“With courage you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate, and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity.”
